Christmas Eve at The Church on the Cape Though Christmas seems like a distant
memory, no one is likely to forget the sensational performance put on
by the Sunday School students in this year's Christmas Eve pageant.
More
than 25 children took part in the performance this year -- ranging
from age 1 year to 18 years old. They worked hard and long on this
years project -- starting right after Thanksgiving and working each
Sunday on not only the performance, but also on costume making.
The pageant itself was very special -- as
it was discovered in a file upstairs and turned out to be written by
Keith McClelland in 1984 -- and although it is a traditional pageant
-- Keith's wise and thoughtful voice could be heard throughout. We
were very fortunate to have the narrative talents of our own Tim
Stentiford -- who also showed up at all the rehearsals -- and helped
keep the students feeling comfortable and on cue.
Special thanks to Ann Hand, Christina
DeMasse, Nancy Jones -- and all the parents who helped out.
