The Dedicatory Concert on Our New Rodgers Organ November 4, 2000 - The Church on the Cape dedicated our new organ to the glory of God with an impressive concert given by Berj Zamkochian.
His appearance at this concert was sandwiched between a busy summer and an upcoming tour which will take him to St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and then on to concerts in Beirut, Lebanon. Part of the tour is dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of Christianity in Armenian, the world's oldest Christian country. On his return, he will play at the National Cathedral in Washington and at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Here is the program:
Our new organ was manufactured by the Rodgers Instrument Corporation of Hillsboro, Oregon, represent in New England by Marshal Ogletree Associates of Needham, Massachusetts. It is a two-,manual, 38-stop digital instrument designated as Trillium 837 and was installed in July, 2000. A freewill offering was accepted to help with the addition of two ranks of pipes in the future. Learn more about our new organ. The Church on the Cape |
